4 Tips To Give An Amazing Speech On Your Wedding!

Updated: Dec 7, 2022

Giving a speech on your wedding can be essential, as this is the only opportunity you get to share your overwhelming emotions about your big day. However, it can be quite challenging to fit all the feelings you want to share into a 3 minutes speech. So here are 4 tips for you!

1. Express Appreciation to Your Guests

Thank all the guests for taking their time to attend your wedding. Well, do remember that many may receive more than 1 wedding invitation card during auspicious dates, but they choose to attend your wedding out of other many invitations.

Thank those who come from afar, you may take this opportunity to acknowledge them by mentioning their names, where do they come from (other states or overseas etc).

2. Express Gratitude to Your Parents

As Asians are usually more reserved when it comes to emotions, wedding is the best occasion to express love. Make sure you show some appreciation to your parents for raising & nurturing you all these years, always stay by your side and rendering their relentless support.

You may also share the most touching moment/thing that your parents had done for you!

3. Express Appreciation to Your Partner's Parents

Next, express gratefulness to your other half's parents for their love and support towards your marriage.

For the groom : thank your parents-in-law for entrusting their daughter to you.

For the bride : show gratitude to your parents-in-law in accepting & loving you as part of the big family.

4. Express Thankfulness to Your Other Half

Thank your partner for trusting you and willing to spend the rest of his or her life with you.

You may share what you both had went through/love story/memories together and also make your promises or vows to your partner.
